A Farm To Doorstep Delivery Service

This project has been developed by Jeevika and JRP to help farmers sell their produce at higher prices. It has involved the establishment of the Daspalla Fresh brand and a truck to transport produce directly from the village to the doorstep of the customers. Farmers deliver produce to a central meeting point to be transported 150km to the city of Bhubaneswar and sold directly to customers (house to house).  The direct sale of the organic fresh produce increases farmer profit by 50%. Farmers combine their harvests creating economies of scale and marketing opportunities, and women farmers avoid having to sell to local middlemen for lower prices.
