Volunteering
There are more ways to help Jeevika Trust than just by giving money.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, get experience and, most importantly, have fun.
Anyone who has been to India and fallen in love with her people, culture and deep-rooted history cannot help but be touched on their return home with a strong feeling of wanting to share their experiences, making a difference and meeting like minded individuals.
Jeevika Trust is looking for enthusiastic people to join our lively supporters’ group which organises fundraising events to support our work and raises money for specific projects. We meet on a regular basis over a curry, drinks or just a Saturday morning coffee. You may have just returned, you may have always wanted to go, either way this is the group for you.
For more information about our next meeting in 2008 please contact our Communications & Fundraising Officer, Rosemary Waller by emailing rosemary@jeevika.org.uk.
You do not need any experience or to have even been to India to join this group, just a passion to make a difference – why not come along and find out a bit more about us?
Please note – we are unable to offer any volunteering experience for individuals wanting to work within the development sector or offer any internships. We also do not currently place volunteers in our projects in India.
