Recycling
In partnership with Reclaim-it, a leading electronic waste management company, Jeevika Trust have developed a scheme to turn empty laser printer and inkjet printer cartridges as well as old mobile phones into valuable funds to help continue our important work.
Did you know that at present approximately 75% of all empty printer cartridges and old mobile phones are disposed of as normal waste, when in fact a very high proportion of them can be recycled for reuse, reducing the environmental burden on landfill sites and the energy consumed in manufacture?
Reclaim-it will donate up to £5 for each cartridge returned and up to £24 for each old mobile phone, and in so doing help us to continue our vitally needed work whilst at the same time helping the environment.
How does the scheme work?
There are two ways in which we can collect your empty cartridges and old mobile phones:
- We can supply one or more of our collection boxes and once it is full, Reclaim-it will collect it and donate the value of the empty cartridges and mobile phones to Jeevika Trust. Or...
- We can supply you with a quantity of reply paid envelopes for the safe return of your empty inkjet cartridges and old mobile phones.
