Hyderabad 10km Half Marathon - 30th November 2008
Ajay Singh ran the Hyderabad 10km Half Marathon at the end of November on behalf of Jeevika Trust. Ajay's 1 hour and 5 minute run helped raise £50 for our work in India. 
Fundraising Skydive - 21st September 2008
Brave Jeevika-supporter Achyut Patil jumped for Jeevika in September 2008. Achyut's 10,000ft skydive over the Oxfordshire countryside along with his friends and family supporting him, raised £163. London Bikeathon - 13th July 2008
Harish Marnad and a group of his friends took part in the London Bikeathon. Harish's friends and family have helped raise £100.
Textiles and Jewellery of Royal and Rural India - an Illustrated Lecture - 8th July 2008
Serena Fass organised our first ever illustrated Lecture - Textiles and Jewellery of Royal and Rual India - and bazaar at the Royal Geographical Society in July 2008. The event was supported by Bhandari Jewellers of Jaipur who sponsored the venue and La Porte des Indes, Oberoi Group and Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces sponsored the drinks. A great evening was had by all and the event raised over £4000.
Edinburgh Marathon - 25th May 2008
Runner John Mallord took part in the Edinburgh Marathon in aid of Jeevika Trust in May 2008. John's friends and family helped him raise over £1000! John was inspired by a trip to India and said to his supporters 'I could never hope to fully repay the people or the country for all that I have gained from visiting India, but hopefully, with your help, I can at least give something back.'
Walk for Water, France - 16th May 2008
Our first ever Walk for Water in France took place on 16th May around a lake in Provence. Anthony and Danielle de Moubray organised such a successful afternoon and, helped by their friends, raised an amazing £2600. Their Walk was followed by a lavish lunch prepared by Danielle and auction of items their walkers had kindly donated.
Sussex Beacon Half Marathon 2008 - 17th February 2008
A big congratulations to Laura Murphy who completed the Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in a very respectable 2 hours and 3 minutes and raised £548.59!
Jeevika Lecture 2007 - 19th November 2007
We are extremely grateful not only to Dr Shiva for her illuminating talk, but to the many people whose hard work and collaboration made the evening a success especially everyone at Amnesty International, John Rowley from the Gandhi Foundation and Ed Posey from the Gaia Foundation. Indie Unsung – 2nd August 2007
A massive thank you to Sophia Surjadi, Small Gang, The Ryes, Kizzy Black, Surveillance State Prisoners and everyone who helped make Indie Unsung such a success! We raised an incredible £1213.92! Walk for Water - 24th June 2007
Thank you to all those dedicated walkers who turned up to our first ever Walk for Water, despite the rain! You have helped us raise a staggering (!) £4500 to go towards Project Ooranie – that’s more than double we were originally hoping for!
